Having fun in Germany

Everyone at the Northterrace 19, I have some news to tell you. I am planning my next coming vacation. I have just booked flights from Fukuoka to Frankfurt (July 6 to July 16).
I was planning to take another Spanish course in Spain at first. But a Spanish friend of mine called Isaac told me that he will stay in Germany for job training in Munchen for one year. Ultimately, I have decided to visit him there to enjoy some World Cup atmosphere and practise Spanish.
I will be in Germany from 6 July to 16 July. But my plan is flexible. I will visit Isaac in Munchen before the Final. I may travel around by train. I think that Brussel is still reachable from Frankfurt. Do you have any particular plan in this period, Nuno?
Julian, I suppose that you are working on your PhD thesis during this period in Newcastle. Please advise some tips to enjoy in Germany. Do you know any grocery store in Germany which collects very high quality, an English equivalent to Waitrose or Mark 6 Spencer. And Shopping spots like a large department store.
