Newcastle again!
Dear North-Terrace friends,
it's been so long that Yasu posted and anybody else. I'm wondering if you're still bothering to check our blog for news. Definitely time to do something about it and to send you an update! And thanks for Yasu's great contributions!!
So, what have I been up to? Don't ask about these three letters, I want to have eventually following my name!! Still a way to go. But I'm back in Newcastle in order to work on it and to cover a lecturer's maternity leave at our department. A lot has changed here but even more makes me still feel at home. I moved in with another German girl who's lecturing in linguistics. It's brilliant with her although we've been knowing each other only for 4 weeks now. Newcastle has now kind of a German Christmas market at the monument, I joined my choir again and we'll sing Handel's Messiah on Sunday in the SAGE (very exciting! It's the new concert hall at the Tyne), I'm extremely disappointed with Swing dancing classes here in Newcastle (something I've been doing now for quite a while in Hamburg), the Brit's are still using 2 tabs for cold and warm water each and the beaches are still so beautiful! Here some first impressions:
Isa - my new flatmate!
Someone just grabbed me...
In case you'll plan a trip to the north of England during the next 6 months, just pop by!
Love, Juliane

Dear Juliane,
Definitely I'd like to meet you again. If I will make my business trip next year, I'll be in Hannover on 19-25 April. Isn't it close enough to Hamburg?
With the little exception that I'll be in Newcastle... Hannover is very close to Hamburg (1 1/2hours by train) but there's also a direct flight Newcastle-Hannover. :-)Will be teaching in Ncl, though, during that week. Can you stay a little longer?
Hugs, Juliane
