scusa

Scusa, I only know a few Italiano. for example, pipi, fanculo, etc.
I don't know why i can not read any comments here. I can only read the original posts. Thanks to Linda's remind, I know what happened after my 'Iris' question.

Actually Iris is the name of a recruiting firm which contacted me last week. Your imagination really surprises me. :) Any way, Nuno, what does that sentence mean? Did you say it to a girl and she becomes yours forever?

Talking about Italian, I do meet some Italian guys and girls these days. Once I was wearing a scarf from NUFC. One Italian guy thought I was a fan for Juventus. Becasue he supported Milan, he laughed at me at that moment. But afterwards he invited me for a drink and he began to dance with a kind of erotic move
after he was drunk. :)

Does anyone have anything interesting about Italy to share? And please write it in a new post for me to read.

Oh, it seems to work! Well, even the German girl managed finally to join the blog! (Juat to make sure: I didn't TRY earlier because I just came back from Germany and had to use other peoples internet access). I'm not so sure yet if I prefer this over sending ordinary e-mails. At my age - and in such an non-technical profession - I first have to get used to it...

What I wanted to add: Even if IRIS might be a recruiting firm it is also a flower (a lily), besides a girl's name and the part in the eye. Is it really an Italian name??

By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everybody - even if it's late. And Nuno, the sweets were very nice! :-) Thank you!
Okay, I also will add this page to my favourites and promise to make an effort to keep more up-to-date.

Dear Michael and Juliane

It's actually funny the people's imagination, Michael! That's why there are so many misunderstandings in this world! One word, IRIS, so many possible meanings and at the end the true meaning was probably the least interesting of them all, at least I thought to my self "Oh, it's just the name of a recruiting agency...". Anyway, I see you are in an italian mood like our friend Yasu was some time ago. I say WAS because now he seems to be more interested in everything concerning Spain, as well as a good proportion of young people around the world. What's going on with everybody?? Can't people see what a boring language spanish is????

"Fico della miseria" means litteraly a misery fig (like the fruit or the portuguese football player), but when an italian girl uses it refering to a guy it means a very hot guy that the girl finds hard to resist to. So it's not something you should say to an italian girl, it should be rather the opposite, and I was never called that by any interesting italian girl :( Also ook out at drunken italian guys dancing erotic moves. I have a portuguese friend that was hosted in the house of 3 brothers in Milan, who were all gay, were always making stupid humour around big sausages and carrots, and wanted to convince him the best way to enjoy life was to follow "the gay path". Anyway, so that you don't think there is nothing else interesting I can say about Italy, Rome is a wonderful city (especially in spring and summer) and I hope some day I can return there to visit it more thoroughly.

To Juliane I thank again for her hospitality in Newcastle last December, and tell her the age and professional field excuses not to adhere to blog communication are not good enough!! It's very easy and takes little time to keep in contact, and a clever girl like you shouldn't have any problem!

Hugs to both
